Task 3: Conversation Practice

After reading the whole text of chapter 1 entitled "Introduction to an Advertising" silently and loudly, there were some processes that occurred. In this phase, the students tried to understand the meaning of the text by catching the key points, using google translation, or utilizing any learning strategies. When the students found something they did not understand, they would ask the lecturer. 


Besides, the students, of course, tried to produce a good pronunciation after asking them to read loudly in turn. In this process, the lecturer became the role model for students. She read the text and would be followed by the students together. Then, the students read the text one by one in turn. When they got difficulties in pronouncing the words, they might ask the lecturer or listened to google translation that has been taught by the lecturer. So, the purpose of giving this text is not only for increasing the students' reading comprehension, meanwhile, to exercise them to be autonomous learners with some learning activities, such as improving students' pronunciation skills. 


So, after understanding the whole text and pronouncing the correct utterance, the students are asked to make conversation with a partner/ friend by making five questions based on the reading text and answering the questions based on the understanding or point of view.  The purposes of this assignment are to improve the students' critical thinking and speaking fluently.


The deadline and technique of task submission:

Make and submit two languages in your blog, Indonesian and English versions to be easy to understand your point of view.  


The assignment can be submitted by writing the following format

Complete name and share the link of podcast and blog that can be accessed in the comment space.

Task 13 & 14: Group work of chapter 4

  https://www.facultyfocus.com/ After getting to know marketing tools and reading the text in chapter 4, students are required to understand more deeply the reading contents and master marketing tools to provide capital when they involve themselves in business and marketing tools. Therefore, at the 13th meeting, students were divided into three groups to complete assignments based on their groups. Below is the group members' name and the tasks: Group 1: Nurmila, Khadafi Task: 10 questions of reading text (with answers) Group 2: Rahmatullah, Muh Aldi, Nurmaulana Task: 20 vocabularies of reading text (with pronunciation and definitions) Group 3: Fatwah Cholis, Jumarni Task: 20 marketing tools (with explanations) Then, after finishing all the assignments,  at the 14th meeting,  the students are asked to practice directly what they have done in the previous meeting. Here, the students should read and pronounce the tasks.
